Icarus: Polaroid Epitaphs
Icarus...
I could never tolerate the heat.
The sweltering summer sun on fresh asphalt
could asphyxiate even the most robust pigeons.
…and I always disliked palm trees.
…rats live in palm trees.
When I left Los Angeles I was trying to
get out of the sun and into the dark.
I was trying to escape the pressure
and smog building behind my eyes.
Burry me in the tundra deep.
burry me at the bottom of the ocean.
burry me in a glacier.
bury me anywhere cold.
Do not let me suffer
the sun,
even after
death.
